Retail Packaging Design

Botanica is a leading Australian manufacturer of garden care products, including fertiliser, mulch, pesticide and herbicide, potting mix and chemical solutions.

Botanica approached Desketing for help with designing the packaging for their new range of premium organic manure and compounds.

The concept behind the packaging design we created aimed to communicate the key selling points of the range – organic, premium and Australian-owned and made. The client expressed that they wanted the packaging to have a simple and clean look to it. While keeping consistency across across the line, we differentiated each individual product by altering two aspects – the colour and images. Taking into consideration the client’s vision, manufacturing limitations and taking inspiration from similar concepts, the end-result was a simple yet modern design that portrayed a premium and organic feel.
